There’s a lot happening with Tacoma artists…here are a few shows not to miss!

Storm Perfect art exhibit featuring Michaela Eaves

Poco Wine Room, 1408 E Pine St, Seattle, WA 98122

The show runs through June 2nd

When you hear the phrase “How was your date?” what would the landscape of that look like? That’s the idea of this show: internalized landscapes externalized. Emotionally laden phrases are paired with stylized large paintings like you’d pair a red wine with a steak.

Come for the art, use it as an excuse to meet cool people, listen to great music, dine on delicious dishes like duck or mac & cheese. If you ever needed an excuse to drink a Dark and Stormy, this is it!

Michaela also has a show running at The Social Bar & Grill (1715 Dock St., Tacoma, WA 98402) through the end of May.

And, at Tacoma Art Museum, there’s still time to check out work by Juliette Ricci along with 29 other artists in The 10th Northwest Biennial…but only until May 20th so hurry!

Also, Sharon Styer’s photography show Nightwatchman opens this Thursday, May 17th at Fulcrum Gallery.  Here’s a primer as described by Sharon: “As a photographer, I find night scenes an irresistible subject.  At night, when something captures my eye, the quiet streets of Tacoma allow me a freedom to just stop in the middle of the street, or turn around, or make a wide u-turn and get my shot.”

The show runs from May 17th through July 14th.
Fulcrum Gallery is open for Third Thursdays and Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Coming June 21 – July 21: The Last Queen of Korea, an exhibit featuring artist Lorraine Toler

Meet the artist at a reception June 21st, 5pm to 8pm

1734 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98402. Ride the Art Bus!
